Oil-export framework between Baghdad, Erbil and companies renewed
SOMO says the tripartite Kurdistan oil-export arrangement has been extended for six months, subject to formal government approval.
Iraq’s State Organization for Marketing of Oil said Baghdad, the Kurdistan Regional Government and oil companies renewed their tripartite export framework after Iraq and Turkey extended their oil-transport agreement. SOMO’s director general said the arrangement has preliminary cabinet approval and can be extended for another six months; the report also says Kurdistan deliveries to SOMO are currently near 50,000 barrels per day.
