Korek asks Iraqi prime minister to intervene in regulator dispute

Korek Telecom appealed to Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi after Iraq’s Communications and Media Commission moved toward suspending the company’s network operations. Korek described the measures as arbitrary and challenged the cancellation of a prior settlement, while the regulator said the company’s contract had expired and that it had not met legal and financial commitments.
